What programs can I use to calculate ppm checkums that aren't specifically for gsm. I tried using generate checksum on Hex Workshop and it comes out with the wrong sum. I know you have to add all the 32bit sections together but how can I do this without doing it by hand? Anyone know?

thats not the same thing. I am talking about checksums in the flash that have nothing to do with the esn (well maybe the FAID does) and are common to most nokia fones.

when you calculate the checksum of the ppm with hexworkshop, like you know that it calculates it bad?

do you introduce the new ppm in the telephone and doesn't east work well?
is this discussion old, perhaps already it did solve the problem?

can you explain to me?

thank you

I know where the old checksums are and I try to see if they match the calculated ones on an unmodified flash file. They don't.

I'll put up a page soon with what I have done so far on disasembling the flash.
