View Full Version : Interesting question for you guys
I just signed myself up with Primus so I can make long distance calls from my cellphone for pennies on a minute. The thing is, I have to dial an access number before I dial the actual number so there is about 25 digits I have to dial. I don't want to remember the whole thing but when I saved the full number in my contacts it won't go through because I have to wait for a dial tone after calling the initial access number. Is there any way I can save the number so it waits for a couple of seconds after dialing the access number before it dials the rest of it?

store in a number "w" - thats wait - 4 x "*"
one "w" is 1 sek

So, if I wanted to dial 1300 555 002 and wanted to press 3 after 6 seconds ... I'd put the contact number as:
1300555002wwwwww3
Is that right? And what does "*" do?
Follow up question, if "w" is for wait, what does "p" stand for?

Where did "p" come from? :-?
Mariuszek or anyone:
What do these stand for:
* = ???
w = wait
p = ???
P because p and w are the letters you get when you press * a few times.

P i am not sure what is stands but i think it should b pause.
it is more so for sending DTMF like i need to dial 200p1p1p9 to know the bill directly.
if i am dont put "p" than i have to dial 200 first than wait for operator and than dial 1 and than again operator and than 1 and than finally 9. so it saves time in listening the operator again and again.
so there's no difference between p and w?
