GPRS Connection

I have an AT&T phone with a cingular sim card, I downloaded a ringtone from cingular, and I can't retrieve it because it says GPRS connection not available. Is this because I don't have mMode??

This is in the wrong section... DCT3 phones dont have GPRS. :rolleyes:
Have you rang up your SP and set up GPRS?

I have same problem as Kaliforniaking, spent 2 hrs on phone with Cingular yesterday with no results and am about to call them now for another go.
I used the unlock code found here and that worked but can't seem to get the phone on-line for downloads. Somehow it's not recognized by the network (no gprs logo in upper left of lcd). Also have problem with security code as I haven't been able to figure out what it is (Logo Manager says it's unavailable), anyone have a clue? Bought on eBay, old owner has no clue what code could be.

Your phone does have GPRS, but, that doesn't mean you will always have it I.E. it's like your cell phone service you will be in places that don't have any coverage. but i think i can help you. go to the services menu "Select" then go to settings "Select" then connetion settings "select" then go to edit active service settings "select" then go to data bearer and select GSM DATA. try that if that doesnt work then call cingular or At&t or nokia.
