i have downloaded MGS with the games but if i want to play them it gives an error and it closes MGS and MVRPool 2 says i have an old version i have to install a newer version but i have 1.96 is there a newer version then 1.96??

The only version out 4 the S60 is ver.1.96. So u have the current ver. for ur 6600. Wheather it will work on ur 6600 that i don't know.

v1.95 <-- works on 6600 but no sound
v1.96 <-- works on 6600 with sound (cobra attack and mgs karting crashes)
v1.96 <-- ANOTHER of the same version which came out AFTER pool2 came out... this is the one u need. pool2 wont work on the other versions

also, remember that the game will crash if you installed the mgs runtime on a different drive than the games! for example if u installed mgs on C:\ it wont work if you install the games on E:\ so you should install everything on E:\

u sure its due to the newer version that gif it sound?

after i did my firmware upgrade, mgs appears to speak out finally :)

with what version??? 1.95?

coz i have the old firmware and that gives sound... and i can tell you right now that 1.95 didnt when i had that

I dl a different kind of MGS, that's say mgs_v196_plus_gb.sis. I haven't tried it yet but i will hopefully by this Friday after work.

hahaha, thats very opposite from mine...

im using 6600, as u noe, and after the firmware upgrade, my version 1.95 appears to have sound...thats weird that urs don't... :-?
