Please help with Nokia 6820

I just purchased Nokia 6820, how do I check if the phone lock or unlock? and if it is lock Can someone tell me what to do?

Try a few different sim cards in it, if they all work then there's no lock.
If only one works then it's locked to that network.
I don't know of any code generators that have the 6820,yet but someone else here surely will.

I tried diffrent sim card, and it tells me to enter security code, I guess the phone still lock. Where do I go to request the code to lock?

security code? doesn't sound like it's a sim lock
You could try 12345 as I had a motorola that needed a code everytime you changed the sim and that was the default code.
before you try that, does it say anything in the manual about a security code.

First work out which operator it is locked to, which sim card worked in it ?

When you know the operator,
use the code calculator link in the top right of the nokiafree homepage.
You can use the codes for a 6800 (they will also work for 6820)

I tried using the 6800 model for the unlock application from this site and it worked with the first code. I am now using T-Mobile on my 6820b.
