[3310 mod] KRAZY mod

The mod i talked about here (http://nokiafree.org/forums/t62306/h/s.html) is released.

SO here's the version 0.9.

It's based on 3310 v.6.07, langpack E firmware.
removed Bulgarian language and T9.

What's in:
- My modified fullscreen menu pics, kinda in SL55 or Symbian phones.
- Smaller and moved status icons, changed zones
- All menus are language dependent, even modified
- Customized menu structure, using NokiX by [yak]
- New functions using NokiX (see in fones About... slideshow)
- Send 3310 Viruz patched with g3n0lite 2
- MADos latest version Fullembed 3310_old with some minor changes
- 33K free in MCU ;)
that's all? i thought i've done more :)

next versions will follow.

Bugs:
(to read before download ! )

- There's a high probability that all your OTA ringtones/pics will disappear!
- if u experience malfunctionning, write your fone with a clean EEPROM and make full factory reset with KNOK or Jordik. You'll have also restore your original IMEI (written under the battery). Then all your data will disappear for sure.

- sometimes u'll not be able to unlock your fone. Try reflashing it once more, or disable autokeylock.
- sometimes, u'll not be able to input security code to remove the keylock (the fone beeps, but there are no numbers entered). Turn the fone off at this stage. Then turn on.

It's not a bug, but the command in g3gg0's slideshow that allows to turn off the lights. But they are turned off and don't turn on if you press any key. You have to wait some time, usually necessary if you want your lights to turn off (~10 seconds) and then if u press a key everything will turn on as usual.

Read the first message, the part that is in red color. It says clearly what to do.

To uninvert the screen, press * untill you hear a beep (or untill the * blinks) then press #.

@BaskoFF Didn't encounter such a problem. Try to flash with a clean EEPROM, input correct IMEI and then reset to defaults with kNok or Jordik. Make backup of FULL flash (with EEPROM) before. (Same in russian:
С такой проблемой не встречался. Проверь, может у тебя в настройках выключился вибровызов и включился тихий режим? Если нет, попробуй перепрошить чистым ЕЕПРОМом, потом выставить заводские настройки kNok-ом или Jordik-ом. Не забудить сохранить перед этим свой старый ЕЕПРОМ. Адрес флеширования ЕЕПРОМа - 3D0000 - 400000 (кажись так).)

As "kraze1984" did say yet, the solution is simple :
Full flesh your phone with clear 6.07 then reflesh with this one and follow all other steps to make your 3310 workable and enjoy it . . .

Hi just managed to put the Moded Flash working
but i found one BUG
when you go to Piture mesages it freezes up and blocked
and you have to remove the BAT to get it working again
and if you activate Faid LED the led turn off and dont work

yes there is a bug in picture messages but if you delete all pictures and upload some new it will work:)

The Bug which you are describing is caused by nokdocs OTA increase
Reset the factory settings when you flash it and it should be fine

Otherwise try a virgin eeprom

Found a little bug in menu that will be corrected in future version:
In menu 5-3-4 (Welcome animation) to turn the nokia 3310 animation ON you must choose OFF and vice versa.

For those who cannot unlock the keypad after flashing...just do these simple steps

1. Reflash with OLD flash.
2. Then, disable auto keypad lock (IMPORTANT!)
3. Reflash your phone with this mod.
4. Now, U can enable the auto keypad lock.

* For those who NOT YET flash their phone, do steps 2-4.

Yet I have a little problem: this new one gives me a juicy 404 error when I try to download it.


And I'd like to ask something unrelated: What is the free space in MCU for? I've tried to swap the ringtones in the first flash (with the tone chunk of the 3325i and dvirus666's mod), but the PPM was full. I couldn't create enough space with SecTone, everytime I resized the MCU (or so I think, I have to admit I suck) I made the flash unusable. IMO, this flash is the best so far, the only drawback for me are the ringtones. :roll:

Thank you for your interest in my flash!
And for pointing me my error.

The flash is filled with stuff, and has only about 200 bytes free. So if you want to add new melodies, first remove the old ones.

I think, its a eeprom problem. i flashed a normal flash in phone, used it some time, after that the fullscreen clock didn't appear, no matter what setting i used.

Another thing - there's already version 0.97 :)

It doesn't turn light off after some time or doesn't turn light on shortcut?
Check menu Setting>Phone Sttings>LED\LCD Settings>Lights>Automatic should be ON to automatically turn off lights after some time.

Also try flashing clean EEPROM (in case it doesn't work).

i have problem with the startup animation selection menu. i can release the mod like it is, but it will be another 0.9.x version. i don't want that :)

It was a hardware mod. You should dismantle your phone and remove a white sticker behind the LCD screen. Instead of it you can put any image printed from your PC. Another thing - with original LEDs the image can be rather faded. Then you should also change the LEDs to white ones. This topic should be somewhere in the old closed threads.

As you understand the image will always be visible when the leds are on and under direct sunlight. When the leds are off, you wouldn't be able to see it.

i have j.a.f. box.
i have flashed my phone with 6.07 firmware..all ok.
than i have open jaf tool, write fls and loaded "3310_crazy.fls".
J.a.f. will write and lock at "write ppm file.".
i have made a full reset and unlock...

When i power on my phone: CONTACT SERVICE.

i must Erase fls and reflash phone to power on.
What can i do ?
