Really need help on my 6600...please....

hi... i bought a new nokia 6600... i think the OS are corrupt or having problem cause sometimes it does`nt to install applications... is there any way for me to re-install the OS or upgrade it to symbian 2.0.. i don`t want to send it to the manufacturer cause it will take a long time.... please help.....
