I have a 8250 that is almost a year old. It had been working perfectly till last week, but then all of a sudden it began to vibrate in a abnormal way. The usual slowish and gentle paced vibrations (hope you folks understand what I mean  ) were replaced with a harsher vibrations of slightly longer durations  And, then finally after 3-4 days, it just stopped vibrating altogether  However, all the other functionalities are still working fine.

I haven't dropped the phone anywhere nor has it been exposed to water or any other such stuff nor have i have ever 'modded' or opened it. I have tried the following: a) Checking sure that the Vibrating mode is ON b)Switching the Phone ON\OFF 3-4 times, c) Resetting the Phone to Factory Setting by using this option in the phone's menu and d) even charging the Phone's battery to "Battery Full" Status.

It will be great if someone can give some ideas about fixing this problem. Thanks in advance :)

Hi Sergo,

Thanks for the tip :)

I'm yet to get it fixed but looks like I'll have to walk into one of those service centers to get it sorted out. Oh, in the meanwhile, I have noticed that at times the phone vibrates properly but then after a few calls it just doesn't...I mean the behaviour seems to be totally random, for days it doesn't vibrate and then all of a sudden it begins to vibrate properly (without me changing any settings or doing anything) and then after some calls it just again takes off on a vacation

As i mentioned before, thankfully rest all functionality seems to be working fine, so I think I will hold onto it for some more time before getting it repaired.

Ps: You really have a cool site here...it's just amazing :)

strip the phone,
clean the vibra contact pads with a pencil eraser
bend the vibra contact arms out
reassemble
should work
