Hi,

What a great resource this place is, im finding more and more that forums are the place to go for techie info and not website, computers, cars etc..

Had a 6210 (5.27) for almost a year...

Dropped it last week, smashed the screen and case.

Just fixed it, ordered a DLR cable...

Was originally looking at upgrading to 5.56 then I noticed 6250 about...

How fast is it (I read of slowdowns)?

Does it work fine with Outlook sync (I use daily) and my car fitted car kit.

Do I just upgrade to 5.56 and wait a month and get a 6310 for very little or do I go for 6250 rom. I already have a 6310 battery cause mine orginal one decided one day to not hold charge.

Only other things I can think of are that im on 1800/orange network (contract).

Cheers

Nick R.

Not tried the upgrade myself but have read many posts

Theres a long post about the upgrade in the forums a while back -do a search for it

I remember reading that 1800mhz signal becomes VERY weak and so i recken you dont bother mate, plus it doesnt give you many new features making it worth upgrading...

Hi
The 6250 is made by old technologi, only if you need the special features the 6250 hold. ( drop, water etc ) its usefull. IR is very slow.
Only charger and headset can be used from the 6210.

6210 and 6310 a basically the same construction.( same display unit).

The 6310i are the new generation phones, where Nokia have correctet some mechanical problems. ( BGA placement and Display unit)

as someone with experience of this upgrade (on orange) it sucks your battery dry in about a day, and the signal is poor 2 bad - probably the same on 121.

i tried on genie (BT/o2) the signal is great, but still seems to suck battery life. - not tested Voda.

___________

some of the features are very useful tho.

auto keylock
sound meter (for fun - to tell your missus she really is 2 loud!!! ;) )
coded keylock
& More

____________

I am back 2 6210 now but, it's entirely your personal preference.
