Let's share the tips and hints ... in the Art of Photography lol

Anyways ... as most of you know, there are three modes on the 7610:
High, Normal and Basic

High and Normal Mode takes pictures at 1152x864
Basic Mode takes pictures at 640x480

I'm going to ask, which one is better:
1. Taking a picture at Basic Mode (640x480)
2. Taking a picture at High Mode (1152x864) then resizing to 640x480

After this question is answered, continue all other factors of photography :D

I'm not terribly good at comparing quality of images or music, so can you guys do me a favour ... and compare these four pictures (no zoom applied):

Thanks ... which one's better ... (1) or (4)? How's the quality in (2) and (3)?

Conclusion: apparently High mode and Basic mode are the best. Normal is a waste of a feature :D

basically speaking a higher quality pic when resized to a smaller pic WILL be better than the lower "quality" one. however in ur case, it doesnt affect that much as the size isnt that big for u to noticed the difference. however if u talk about bigger size like 3MP and above, u can then see the difference.

well take it in a better resolution one as u can resize to a smaller one, however, a smaller pic cant be resized to a bigger one.

PS: nice one there, u taken diazpalm? either u r using a tripod to hold ur phone to take the pictures, or u have great stance when u take the same picture twice without moving a twitch! :-P

That's the front entrance of my house (not mine, my parents')

No, I don't have a tripod. Maybe I do have a good stance?
Actually, I used the base of the pot on the left to align the viewfinder. :D

basic mode and high mode converted to 640x480 are the same. i couls not see any difference

basic mode is same with 6600's photos

no need to normal mode

high mode seems to be the most usefull but the size of photos are to large

I found that Basic Mode pictures look better than High Mode pictures resized down to 640x480.

Anyways ... I'm using High Mode on default now. Why VGA-size when you have One Mega Pixel?
