I understand I need to change the elastomer behind the LCD.
After you remove the 6 torx screws and lift up the LCD assembly,
what is the next step to get at the elastomer and change it?

after removing the LCD structure forget the phone itself and focus on the LCD. Look at the back and you can see a small piece (sometimes blue, sometimes green) fitted in a squared hole: the elastometer. With a needle or somthing of the sort, remove it by lifting it by the sides.

If you wanna re-use it just flip it and fit it back to the LCD (it's not a definitive solution but can hold steady image for some months; not always)

Buy a new one on ebay for about £1 - do not touch it with your fingers though!

Solves most screen problems! :)
