no, are you sure you are using the rite one, download it off the My-Symbian website either from wap or internet, cuz it works perfectly on mine with the 4.09.1 software,

installed it onto my phone memory and i use it to save the movies on the memory card and it works FINE

Ok first I tried the version I found on Aivanet. That didn't work. Then I tried the version from My-symbian.com (the trail that is) and that works

just thought it was worth mentioning

there are two versions on aivanet and i have tried both.

philips camcoder pro v1.01 n6600 did not work for me with firmware version 3.42.1

philips camcoder pro for nokia 6600 seems to work fine for me

the best camcorder as yet.

with zoom, rather decent quality, night mode, UNLIMITED time recording.... for 6600....simply brillant. jus that quite alot of pple dl the wrong version and some f*ckers rename the non-working ones to "works with 6600" and craps.

alrites, here the name of my working camcorder for some referance, "philips_camcorder_pros70.sis". might not be 100% sure if some guys also name the non-working ones to this name though. hope it will be of some help to some pple who havent try it yet. and i got mine off mirc. guys dun hesitate. its really good. many many many features and functions.

if it is the best camcorder app, why is it that it lags whenever it exceeds the 40 sec recording time?

think eti is still better cause it doesn't lag even if it exceeds 10 mins.

version 1.0.2 has corrected lag on avainet.com!!!!also a question i installed on a 128mmc set rec time to unlimited file time it showed 55mins apprx....i then installed on a 256mmc same rec time is shown..........i think max recording time is 55m apprx untill u delete vids.....any comments............the best app todate well done philips

Some encounter this problem,some never! MMC card transfer rate got to do with this.To prevent lag,set quality to middle of pixel 128x96 will prevent any lag!
But during recording,if some idiot friend sms or call u! It will automatically end and start processing the video!

I try the 1.0.2! It will still lag at quality pro of 128 x 96 pixel(15 frames) but it will not at quality of high! Thanks man! It improves a lot! Could not ask for more! Now Nokia 6600 has become a complete set! F**k nokia video recorder 9s limit. :lol:

thats so strange.mine din lag at all. i also dun think it got to do with the transfer speed of ur mmc, or something, cos the recording dun immediately transfer and save the file as u record. it only transfer the file when u finish recording. (see the processing time after u end the record?)

My problem is it will lag at 70s of using the best pixel,frame and quality!After more than 15s of pausing,it will automatically resume recording from 70s onwards! By the way,regarding the record thing,even it don't process the video immediately,it still need buffer to store the unfinished product first before processing! So it still need to transfer to MMC card.Maybe something wrong with the buffer? Buffer not enough memory?

Are you able to record at 15fps on SQIF resolution? I can only get it as fast as 7.5fps at SQIF, which kinda makes the whole thing pointless - the film quality is garbage with any movement.

I installed it on my 6600 and it work perfectly fine. Then one day when i click on the icon, it open and exit back to the main menu. Same goes with my PV Player, any suggestion to how it happens. My IR Remote also stop functioning.

Picodrive also does that on my phone sometimes. I just hold down the menu button to get a list of open applications, cancel "main", and do it again and it always opens properly. Hope that helps.
