E700 usb Phone manager

Does anyone know of a fone suite that works with the E700 USB cables as samsungs own suite fails to connect via these cables?
any info much appreciated :D

samsungs software should work with your cable.
go into set up and if you have the usb drivers installed correctly, select your connection as com5.
you should be able to upload tones etc to your phone.

I dont find this to be the case, i think that some phones are tempermental as ive tried every possible way of connecting phone to pc and i dont have any luck at all. Ive tried it on XP and ME, and i cannot get the software to recognise the phone. I know its not the data cable as ive tried this with the Easy gprs, which recognises my phone, lists all my numbers and text messages. and then i go to send pics on easy studio and it says an error of somesort about dialog.
I then try to connect using Easy studio and it dont work at all.
Is there something you have to do to the handset at all??

if it won't connect on com 5 try com 4, i've just changed from me to xp and on me the phone would connect ok on com 5 once i'd installed the usb drivers.
now i'm on xp it's changed to com 4.
if you can't connect at all using usb try and get different drivers or a cable as something must be wrong.
