water demaged 8910i

hi,

i've got a water demaged nokia 8910i. it doesn't swich on. i've tested it with a few batterys. sometimes the displays shows a few lines, then it swith off. i can't flash the phone. its dead :( .

what can i do?

Take the PCB out of the phone. If you are lucky you will ahve an ultrasoni cleaner, throw it in there. If not mix 50/50 water and white spirit, and leave the phone submerged in it for a few hours. Then use a toothbrush to clean the board properly. Wash the board off with cooled boiled water, then dry it with a hairdryer. Dont get the board too hot, as this will start to melt the solder, just nice and warm will do. Leave the phone a few minutes, then warm the board again.
Re-assemble the phone, and hope for the best.
