nokia 6610 IMEI error (serial no.??????)

Hi

My nokia 6610 is asking for a restriction code and only means I need the unlock codes. But when I tried to retrieve the IMEI (*#06#) I get question marks...

Appreciate any help.

Try to write good rpl file with griffin or other box.
Then unlock it.

With this problem, is it a phone defect? Or can somebody else
do this to you in purpose? Since I got this brand new and really take care of my assets very well and never happened to me before. And pay the bills regularly too.

how can I recognize the uem chip???? on pcb I mean
If I change the uem between two pcb-s I change the imei ????


There is no other solution so I can change the imei on one pcb????
pls help me....

@wizwiz, u need virgin UEM...and a box like griffin....if U just switch UEMs..phone will come with massege "phone restricted"
