Hi

I now have two Nokia 3210's with the following problem : Connect any nokia charger, phone immediately displays "Not Charging". Netmonitor test 20 reports the error as "TmpFa" - assumably temperature failure. Test 20 also reads battery temperature as -17'C all the time no matter what battery is used in whatever condition. I have already tried factory reset, did not help.
Has anyone encoutered this problem before and know of a solution?
Will try get my flash kit out and re-flash the phones sometime, but that requires I re-install Windows 98...
FYI : One of the battery connectors on the phone IS damaged, however I cant remember this causing any problems before... Might be wrong.

Any advice?
Thanks

mate,

Try resoldering the battery terminals first, it affects the charging circuit since the BTEMP is connected there also. If it still fails, try flashing.

also try this link: http://www.centralpark.net.au/repair.html

hope it helps... :)

Thanks. The reason I asked is because I cant afford to go buy a soldering iron and especially not a soldering station until I am sure it is needed...

Has anyone encoutered this problem themselves?
