Don't know if this question is appropriate for this forum - but I desperately need help.

I just unlocked my AT&T 6800 after changing service to Cingular - phone functions work great! Problem is, I can't access the web! This is critical to me as I use the phone to access an e-mail web site (the reason I have a 6800)!

I setup Service Settings to match what was on the phone Cingular gave me (Nokia 3595). I am able to get on the web with the 3595. With the 6800 I receive a message "Authentication Failed".

Am I missing something? Is there a password I don't know?

Please help!
Thanks!

Cingular's application developers site has a system settings doc that has all their "WAP Network Access Settings" in it. Link is below for anyone who runs into such an issue.

Very interesting. I'm in the exact same boat. I have a Nokia 6800 and was an ATT customer. Now, I've had to move it over to Cingular. I unlocked the phone and now it has a Cingular supplied SIM. Phone works fine for voice calls, but email and wireless internet no longer work. Cingular's customer service people are lost, they have no idea how to fix the problem. I have reviewed the document referenced in the above post, and made some changes to my phone's settings, but it still doesn't work. I used to get the "Authentication Failed" message. But now after making the changes as per the document, I no longer get that message, but it still doesn't work.

Do I need to have the phone flashed with Cingular firmware? Any help is appreciated, thanks.
