SMS Alert!!

I saw some of the 3315 in Malaysia which had a function on SMS alert tone where they can choose their desire ringtone to replace their current "old & bored" sms alert!

They can just set through the phone! Is it possible 4 me to implant it into 8250, 8210 and etc?

Can some of u guys help me out?

There is no official sw which contains this funtion..
you can change sms alert tone only with hex editor or flashtone programs

you could do this with NokHex just change one of the sms alerts to whatever u want it to be.. shouldn't be too hard (well should be pretty easy)

i dont think if u want is the personal for message alert like in 3315 but what i can suggest is, u can replaced the old bored sms tone by using flashtone 2.10 lite download and play this sw here...www.ed2k.com.ph

it allows you to use any of the incoming call alerts, as an SMS alert. This is useful if you compose a nice sms alert, but not use useful to have your phone "ring ring" when you recieve an sms :P

i know how to change those sms alert with those ringtones i wanted with hex editor.

Nevertheless i know how to convert a *.bin to *.re as well.

But the problem here is, "there" is an 3315 in malaysia that can really let u choose ur ringtone as ur sms alert!

Anyone here really figure it out how it work?

You don't have to...it's a standard feature of a n3315 fone wherein you can choose any ringtone as your SMS alert tone.

You can't do that, that is the 3315 default features, you can only change individual sms alert by replace the original ringtone is other model.

you can convert the 3310 in to the 3315 so its not that bad dont know if you all know this:confused:

I remember seeing a post where someone described the max number of notes for standard and special sms alert tones but I can no longer find the post. does anyone know the limits?
