a835 unlocked on 02

I was thinking of buying a motorola a835 (£79.99 from a shop in town on three) then getting it unlocked to work on 02 by one of the internet services. My question is does the phone still work properly on a network other than three? E.g will I still be able to take pictures and video etc? (I know I wont be able to stream video).
If anyone has done this I would appreciate your experience.
