Ok in nokias they have a "flash" what does this do?
Is this where the MCU,PPM etc are stored or what? :confused:
Because say 3310 has 16mb flash and 3330 has 32mb flash
WHY? Anyway of reading the full contents?
What do they contain? I know for a fact that a full flash is simply 2mb so where and WHAT does the rest do??? :eek:
Cheers

i think this memory contain variables and other things created and needed by the MCU program to run... I'm not sure... :rolleyes:

Flash is like the bios in your computer motherboard. Which is an eeprom i think, you need a pic or eeprom programmer to read out all the contents.

3310 have NO 16mb Flash and 3330 have NO 32mb Flash. This is mbit!!!
3310: 2MByte = 16Mbit
3330: 4MByte = 32Mbit

DonaldDuck69 is correct....which like 128mbit in motherboard bios is not means you have 128mb bios size.

note:
mb=megabit
mB=megabyte
I know peopple use it very very sloppy...

Well thats good to no, but if its in the flash, why cant i read it? How am i supposed to find out what the map is like if i cant see it, i like learning usless information, lol

I don't think it is in the flash exactly...for example a 3330
0000000-001FFFF0 : RAM + Hardware IO (16Mbit)
0020000-005FFF0 : Flash ROM (32Mbit)
0060000-00????? : ??? (If read results in mirror of Flash ROM)
Not sure if this is 100% correct but this is how i understand the memory map to look like.
