My son in Australia sent me an Australian Vodafone Pay as you Talk SIM card with $5 credit on it so that I could use my Nokia 6310i as soon as I step off the plane when I visit him.
I checked the SIM card here in the UK but there is no aerial signal on the phone display, and when I dial out both domestic or international I get "No Network Coverage" on the display.
My phone is unlocked, able to use all networks in the UK and is not barred from making international calls.
I was hoping that someone might have any ideas as to why the SIM card does not work and how could I fix it?

This is the wrong section for this question
I will get a friend to move it :)

About your problem,
Your phone accepts the sim card and if you try to use your australian sim in UK it will not get signal as the provider of that sim is on the other side of the world and you cannot get signal with Vodafone Australia here

If your phone accepts the sim card then it should work in australia

Danny
