My comment:

Overall, it's a fantastica flash....

But, still have bugs...

1. Incoming message tone..can't select personal tone..even 3310 -> 3315.
2. Where is my Pic. Message??
3. Problem with Screen Saver selection (hang) bcoz of the "vanish" of my Pic. Message.

BTW, for those who cannot unlock the keypad after flashing...just do these simple steps

1. Reflash with OLD flash.
2. Then, disable auto keypad lock (IMPORTANT!)
3. Reflash your phone with this mod.
4. Now, U can enable the auto keypad lock.

* For those who NOT YET flash their phone, do steps 2-4.

1) I have personal message tones.
2) Picture message are in Gallery {menu 8}
3) Screen Saver work fine on mine.

all i can think of trying is a virgin eeprom.
On my 3310 and 3410 downgraded to a 3310 both work fine.

I have upload my eeprom.
Remove the .zip part of the file,
flash to your 3310 at address 0x3D0000 then just change the imei to yours.

I also have to do 3315 -> 3310 downgrade...then 3310 -> 3315 again to have my 'Personal' option for SMS alerts.

follow these steps..

a) Download Part 1 & Part 2 of the flash above...
b) rename both files to rar... (EG delete the {.zip} part of the download file name)
c) click on Part 1 and unpack to your chosen destination. (Dont worry about part 2 as part 1 will unpack this as well.)
d) flash the unpacked flash to your phone..

Great fls, but had a few probs as i select mad05 it says KPD done & switches off mob, is this ok?? Menu 12 dont work, also did spymode & it shut my mob down & it wouldnt work again, had to re-flash & turn on with charger cause mob wouldnt power on, got mob back to norm now with orig backup fls.
I did get to check most of the stuff with this fls & most was flawless as i used the animated sc/save & messages perfectly.
Am i doing something wrong as i would luv to put this fls back to my mob as it was gr8, the size of file when unpacked was 1.81mb usually they are 2mb could this be my prob??

I had the same problem with the spymode function. Phone wouldnt go back to normal. had to reflash.

1)Sorry to here about your problems with spymode.

I looked at my phones and tested them. You must switch spymode off before you turn the phone off or remove the battery. If not there will be nothing on the screen when you switch back on, but your phone will still work just hold down * for about 2/3 seconds then press 0 to turn back to normal.

Watch out if you have pin control on as this might enter the wrong code.

2)Menu 12 is the simcard menu. if you mobile operator does not support this, then this menu will not appear.

3)Mados. Once you have selected the mados from menu 11, 3 you must press the power button before "kpd done" appears this will then load up mados.

4)carlieann.

as for the size of the fls. when you write it to your mobile it will end @ 0x3D0000 which is where the start of your eeprom is. Just flash it and if there are any problems use the Eeprom part available above.

Flash the 1.81MB file from 0x200000. It will end @ 0x3D0000
Just flash the eeprom from 0x3D0000. It will end @ 0x400000

this will then give you your 2MB flash file.

The shortkeys are all the keypad. Just hold down the * key for about 3 seconds or until you here a beep (if you have your warning tones set on) then press...

1 for GAMES
2 for WRITE SMS
3 for INBOX
4 for OUTBOX
5 for TEMPLATES
6 for PROFILES
7 for NET MONITOR
8 for MEMORY MONITOR
9 for SHOW TIME & DATE
0 for SPYMODE

This gives you easy access to the above, without going through the menu.

Got menus working ok cheers, its a gr8 fls.
If u do a check on it with rolis etc it scans the flash & says "read flash image checksums are bad" This explains why it wont let me set the faid etc, i have to go to a repair prog i have to enable setting the faid etc, obviously something is slightly amiss with it but as it works ok i'm not bothered, but thought i should let you know!

Thanks carlieann. I am in the proccess of looking at the flash today. I have made some changes to the menu in it.
I am updating the DCT4 unlocking section of Mados aswell. It now has more box serial numbers and hopefully will include asic 6 soon.
But as for the "read flash image checksums are bad" I have another version of the flash without Mados and i don't get the BAD CHECKSUM message. As the Mados version works with in it I will leave it in.

I need to know from anyone that has used this flash if the nokia virus and siemens virus work when sent.

I sent the nokia virus to my other 3310 with my modded flash on it but it did not freeze the phone.

Any help would be great..

Answer:

1) In my new modd, i have included the light toggle. This will turn the LEDs on/off (Best to lock keypad and wait for lights to go out then turn spymode on)
2) Sorry i have no idea if mados works in a 8210, i have an 8210 but its faulty so i can't try it.
3) Mados is a completly different operating system for your phone. Search the forum for more information.
4) The only .gsc i use is spymode & auto answer, every other script is done by nokix (GREAT PROGY, Thanks YAK)

The new flash will be uploaded in the next couple of days. I Have some testing to do first.

I have downloaded your flash and its great. Thanks and keep itup.

Pls clarify my doubts on the following?

1. I have one 3330 and a 6510. If i send a virus to 6510, how do i clear the virus. Also, will the network operator come to know this?

2. The phone in which I did the flash is 3330. (It was convereted to 3310 by nokia service as it developed some problems). Can I use you 3330 flash on it?
If so please help me. I wish to convert it back to 3330 with your flash.

I used madOS old version in this flash. You phone might need the new version. I might do one at a leter date for people with NEW 3310 HW.

1) The virus sending options is not a real virus it is just some text that will just freeze some older nokia dct3 contained in a text message. To clear the virus just put the sim into a newer phone and delete it. This will not cause a problem with any operator anywhere.

2) Check that your phone has a 32Mb chip if so, flash a 3330 flash to it & th eeprom and update faid. all should work. If its 16Mb sorry but it is just a 3310.

OK flash the 3330 flash to your phone. it will end @ 0x550000

Flash the eeprom below from 0x550000 it should end @ 0x600000

Thats it flashed. When you switch it on is might say 'contact service'. open noktool 1.8...

change the imei back to your imei, tick the box to change original.
Clear SP Locks
Update FAID

You will need to reset the UI, DEV, UI SCM CC and do a FULL Reset.

Remover the battery and replace it, switch on and try.

I did try the 3330 flash and eprom without any problems. but the phone did not start. so i reflashed it with your 3310 flash and it works fine.

can u please release a version with a standard font? bold fonts sometimes looks not good.

also, please increase the call timer display delay so that we could see the timer after we end the call.

your 3310 flash is great. i dont know why Nokia people are not thinking like us?

I dont have the time right now to remove the othre menus, but you say you can't go back to the normal menu once you are in restricted or access denied? Try holding down the * key for about 3 seconds the press #. Thiss will revert you back to normal.

Changing the fonts will not be too hard, you could do it yourself. I am too busy at the moment. As for the call duration time to be extended. Why not press menu 3-5-1 to view after the call has ended. This will show up the call time for the last call.

The screen went blank because you went into spymode. To use it you must

1 Select 'Silent' profile
2 Lock keypad..
3 Wait until lights go off..
4 Enter spymode.

To go back to normal simply enter spymode again (* + 0).

Spymode works.... I've tried the V2.1.B version and it works fine. Just note that even if you turned off the backlights, they would automatically turn on when called. (Backlights are not permanently turned off at will, they turn on when unit is called upon).

Yes you can. It works fine on mine and others.

What mod version are you using. Make sure you are using the latest version V276 as this version has better control over the shortcuts (quickkeys).

I have got it working 100% now, I think it was because I had Backlights->Fade-in/Fade-out set to off put both to level 8. Great mod dvirus666 and thanks for the fast responses. :D

I like these sort of flash files because they give my old phone a new lease of life without shelling out on the latest fancy camera/mp3/video equipped gadget, which I probably stand no chance of fixing if it goes wrong or the software gets corrupted.

There will always be greedy people who take advantage and try to sell the work of others for a profit but from what I've seen they are asking far too much to do very well from it. :wink:

1)Security code has no affect on the PUK code. The PUK code is only required if you enter you SIM card pin number incorrectly 3 times.
2)This is a bug in mados.
3)The phone book security is only for deletion on an entry, but it could be added to the next version so lock all phone book functions.

Right if you entered the incorrect code 4 / 5 + then leave your phone for a while, then enter the correct code and it should work.

I left mine for 10 minutes before I tried it and it unlocked. But not sure on the delay.

Now I would not call this a bug just a extra security feature.

This is what happened Today :

I had to make an Emergency Call and the Phone was with my younger bro, he tried to unlock and due to Security Code he was not able to. He tried to enter some codes but that were wrong and finally the phone locked up.

Now i had to wait for atleast 10 minutes before that EMERGENCY CALL,
Then i realised that this is really a big problem.

First of All A Heartiest Congs for this Release and A Lot of Thanks for giving me the Full Version Flash.

Here is the List of Bugs i faced and some suggestions.

1. All the PhoneBook Functions are not locked when the Security is applied on the PhoneBook (Contacts) .

2. Send Virus Hangs the phone. Whenever I select Send Virus Option and then go for either of Nokia and Seimens, the phone hangs and battery is to be removed.

3. When I enter into the SpyMode i cannot come out of it and when rebooted the Keypad did not function then i had to again restart to get the keypad working again.

4. Sometimes the Scrolling of Names with the Down Key and Recent Called Numbers from Up Key ( in the Number Dialing Mode ) gets disabled and phone needs to reboot to get it working.

5. Same Call Duration 1.2 Problem.

6. Same Security Code Problem that i doesnot accept even the Correct Security Code after it is given Security Code wrong for atleast 5 Times.


Suggestions

1) Only the "Erase all / One by One" are lockable.
2) I feel silly but forgot to add the command to run the virus script. :oops:

6) Now LISTEN CAREFULLY : If you enter you SECURITY CODE INCORRECT 5 + times or more then you will have to wait 10 minutes before you can try again. All code entered after the 5 turn will show up ERROR including the RIGHT code. Just wait 10 minutes, or do not enter the incorrect code.

If you look through NFREE, you will find help on flashing your phone but here is a quick start for you..

Get a 3310 flasher cable and a Mbus/Fbus cable. (Available from uCables.com)
Software is available FREE. Just search for
Rolis Flasher or kNokPhoenix these are for flashing...
DCT3RPv3.2 or Nok Tools for updating FAID & Activating Net Monitor
Nokix & Scripts use if you are doing your own flash

Hi Everyone,

Iam new to this, but when I fooled around with the APPS in MADOS, I saw
a message like "waiting for sync" or something like that. :-?

I pressed a couple of buttons without any result. I waited a while hoping
this thing would dissapear with no result.

I finaly did the killer thing and turned of the phone :-x

Now when I want to restart it, all leds come on and all pixels on the display
are "lit" for a second. after that, NOTHING. After a while the leds (phone) turn off. :-(

How can I fix this problem ?

I have looked over and tested spymode loads of time. I have had no problems at all with this function but others do. I have uploaded the same flash taken from my phone (V.3.0.1) to my site.

and orginally languages. so there can add your own language with pel- format.

When I started this flash it was a very simple one. But I have a bad habit to change it alot as I continue.
I do like you ideal about just adding features that are known to work with out problems, and I might do that some time soon.
The only problem I have is using SECTONE. It cab cause too many problems with in the flash. Thats why I use Nokix. Its alot more stable.

Before you do make sure you have a Full Backup of your mums 3330 first.

Actually I am using a SIM of SMART Gold from (The Philippines) and i have no problems encountered on the moddz you've created, what i want to tell you is that I really look up to you on your GREATEST and FINEST enhancement on the NOKIA SW. The 5E0 ID is the RED code. This will call the Calendar. But why not use "def=Calendar" ?. That works as well.

The Organizer Menu does have 4 Sub menus not 3... The problem you are having is that the 4th menu DOES NOT WORK WITH EVERY SIM. It will appear only if your SIM CARD has a menu added to it. In the UK, O2, Vodafone & Virgin all use this menu for extra features from the network. So I would suggest NOT to remove it unless it bothers you.

I found one bug. I dont know whether it is just in my mobile or for all.

It is while playing the snake game.
The new score which i score becomes the top score. No matter whether it is less than the previous score. I mean playing a new game and ending up with whatever score becomes the top score.....

Also the text chunk in the ppm can be changed very easily. What language do you use and with your help add it.

Before you do make sure you have a Full Backup of your mums 3330 first.

DO i just use 3310 or 3330 eeprom after double flashing? Is it a virgin eeprom? I am using a normal 3310 flash with just spymode not your flash coz i aint got it anyway.

(Spy thing) problem...: *+ * Shortcut key is NOT protected by keylock.... light suddenly goes on! o_O

When use in random all shortcuts... automatic key lock timeout changed to 0s!!! > And then all the time when opening keys it goes to locked right again...! i solved it by using non-sim card and changed keylock from mm:ss to 00:10

In calc there is only POWER (E) -ADDON

and i have one great idea... in 5210 have temperature- option.... And in 3310 (net monitor has also) but is it possible to copy that code to 3310?

By the way the with phone i can also make call !! :D and no battery loose....

The reason the lights are coming on while i spymode is that the LED toggle shortkey is always available. I will remove this when I update again.

The send virus functions is not really a Virus. All this does is FREEZE older types of DCT3 / Siemens phones. It does not cause any damage to the mobile you are sending too.

i have tried for hours to flash phone but rolis doesnt recognise flash files do they need renaming as with so many other stupid flashes someone names them wrong.
is there an easy instruction to flash phone it appears rolis wont support flash files is there a special program to use the info here is very scketchy reading the posts.
i use griffin which is easy but even that doesnt recognise the files??

Flashing your 8210 with this flash is simple using rolis...

1: Click on the RED button near the top.
2: Select the MCU file to flash.
3: Enter start address (pre set already but its 0x200000).
4: Press the power button on your phone.

Now do the same again for the PPM but the start address is 0x380000.
And again for the EEPROM but the start address is 0x3D0000.

After all has been flashed, plug in the data cable and reset IMEI back to your IMEI, fix SP locks, update FAID and do a full factory reset if needed. Your phone should work fine after this.

I just wanted to say "Thank You" to Dvirus for his 3310 flash, which I downloaded from his site and got working (with a bit of effort) over the weekend. The 'smileys' in Message hang the phone and I'm trying to sus out the Automatic answer/spymode but I'm sure I'll get there in the end.

To put so much work into a great project is very much appreciated, especially as it's been done for the pleasure of achievement as opposed to profit!

Dvirus doesnt take any effort because it only needs to replace the Finn language with a different one. Would be more easier if he will share with us the address of the language.

English is so simple and you can not play with the it as with another foreign languages. Yes, u can not express yourself very much. Simple and boring. If u knew only english I recommend you to start learning another language.

Iam working on this:


1, open the latest Dvirus PPM file with the PPMMaker

2, double click "text" -- "0x00...01, ENGL and save text.

3, choose the language pack what contains your language and save it as the ENGL before.

4, Now, You have the ENGL.txt and the YOURLANG.txt. You have to compare by contant these files because must be every text on the same line but in different languages of course... (if dont match the lines then try to find YOURLANG.txt from different version of 3310flash. for me the 6.34 was ok)

5, Copy these lines from the end of ENGL.txt
"1333=Restricted
1334=Bitmap
1335=Animation
1336=Access Denied
1337=Counter" ..........etc (U can translate if you want)

And paste it to the end of YOURLANG.txt and save it.

6, Open the Dvirus PPm again and double click to the FINN in the text menu and click "load text" and choose YOURLANG.txt and save it.

I didnt try to flash because maybe this does not work... so, Dvirus will come and tell us the truth.;)

I think we need to change more things.. for example: the "FINN" is still in the "AORD" and "LDB" menu... so i think we have to export all these from the YOURLANG ppm and after import it to replace the FINN language correctly.

whats mcu n ppm address i used geoflasher when flashing....
mine mcu : 020000~2F0000 n ppm:2F0000~300000

also....in 8210 it hangs and restart but i used virgin eeprom of 8210 n full factory reset...

Shortcut * and *. (lights) or make it keylock protected?

Sometimes battery is empty cause lights suddenly goes on in my pocket... :(

I see the problem with the lights coming on all the time.
I put a security lock on the led toggle in the next release.

I have flashed a 3310 & 3330 and in the list own numbers can you only put one number in and how would you change your own number.

I save new "Own number" to menu 5-7-3-3. Then "Add name". It ask PIN-2. After that i succesfully save new own number.

Shortcut * 3 doesnot show anything

on 3330 to menu 5-3-4 it says list of own numbers (not number) so I put in the number of my other phone and was going to put somemore numbers in but I think you can only put in one number and I cant find anyway to edit the number I put in.

I think 'List of own number' is really useless..
I can't see anything useful about "Own number"-menu.
