Hi i have put a new sim in my 5210 and after i put in the pin which it accepts it looks for a security code, which i don't know.

i have tried all the usual, 1234, 12345, 0000, 00000 but none work.
it doesn't ask for a security code with my old sim card which was in the phone.

i've unlocked the phone and it says registration off, but still looks for the security code after the pin is input for any sim other than the original.

any ideas?

thanks
Theresa

you can read it with a serial fbus/mbus data cable and logomanager software (not usb cable)

you can get the cable from ebay for next to nothing these days or look here

http://www.gsmsupply.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=226

for the type of cable (no it's not my shop !!)

If you have IR on your PC, you can use "gammu" to read the security code.
