I ran the eeprom tests and it said CCONT interface test failed......how can i fix the contact service problem? will a full flash do the trick? not sure cuz the eeprom is external....

Hello,

The defect is either unsolder connection underneath the Ccont or Defective Ccont IC. You need to do the folowing:

1. Apply Flux on top of the Ccont IC.
2. Use Hot Air to try Re-Heating the Ccont.
3. Try pushing in one direction a bit, if it does not sway in the direction you are pushing it reheat it more.
4. Try pushing it again, when it starts to move push it upward and sideward so the solder balls underneath it will reball into place for good contact.
5. If the problem still exist after doing the above, then you will hv to replaced the Ccont with a new one.

Was so tempted that i grabbed the 3210, opened it, applied flux and reheated CCONT, assembled it again.....switched ON :D and u know what happened :D went into standby and gave me full signal strength :D
