Hi!

1. Use PPMMaker to edit the provider names and much more
Download it from here: http://atter.uw.hu/phones/soft/PPMMaker_v1_05.zip

2. You need a flasher cable to upload your modified flash file to your phone.
Your mbus cable wont work...

if you dont want to flash ur phone there are two other methods but i don't know if this works on american phones:

1 download gammu from http://www.mwiacek.com/
2 set up gammu to use the mbus cable (on com1/com2).
3 at the dos prompt type "gammu --nokiasetoperatorname 'xxx xx' 'T-mobile' "
4 it should work???

the other way:

1 on ur phone type *3001#12345# (untested)
2 go to something like 'network name'
3 type in a new name and ok it.

see if it helps.

Hi,

I think it is not possible.

U could put an operator logo on top of it, in which U put the text of Ur choice.

Or U could modify the flash file but then U need the flasher cables too.

The name U see comes from the simcard and is transfered to phones eeprom on every sim change.

Unless Ur provider has built in a special fascility to be able to change it with certain codes, like as mentioned before.
