6100 poor sound - please help

Has anyone got any ideas why the sound should be really poor on a 6100. Have replaced speaker yet no improvement.

Do you mean that when you have a conversation, people can't hear you properly, or don't you hear them properly ? Did you try other phones to call your cellphone ?

The sound (conversation) coming out of the 6100 is very poor and crackly. Putting phone onto speakerphone makes it clearer. The speaker in to 6100 has been replaced but this has not improved the sound.

Even in standard mode, my Nokia 6100 had a very clear sound, I'm really happy with it, your unit must be defficient, bring it back to an Official Nokia support center. A "cracky" sound is very unusual, even in lower quality mode that shouldn't happend, how strong is your signal (how many "blocks") ?

This may give a better sound at a little more battery cost, if it doesn't work return it to your store.
