Hi there,

My Nokia 6210e is running the firmware NPE-3 V4.08. It is working fine, but there are a couple of things I find quite irritating about it, and I would like to know if these have been addressed in the latest firmware version.

Firstly, does the latest firmware version have an automatic key lock??

Also, are return receipts still treated in the same way as normal SMS messages in the latest version? At present, when I receive a return reciept it actually appears as if I have a new unread message. It is a pain to regularly delete these reciepts, so my phone is usually left displaying the "new message" notification even though there are actually no messages at all.

If you have more recent firmware then please let me know if these features have changed.

Many thanks!
Marcus

Hi, I have a 6210 on v5.56 firmware and I can definitely say that it does not come with the automatic keylock function (unfortunately!).

I wouldnt know about the message receipts because I do not have that function turned on as this is a spare phone that I use when the panasonic has 2x dead batteries (as it does now lol). I'm sure someone else could give some insight to that though.

Edit: I just turned on delivery reports and sent my partner a text as a test ;)
It still puts the message icon in the top of the screen and has a text in the inbox. However, it does flash up "Delivered <insert the recipient's name here>" which is pretty decent, but it still shows like you have a new message :(
