How many would be interesting in purchasing a PKD-1 box?

I am having one built and if it works, the chap who is putting it all together for me may want to go into making more if there is a demand, more demand = parts cheaper = cheaper price for you!

So, post if you are intested in one or not and I'll get some prices for you if there is.

If you need to post here asking what a PKD-1 box is, you wont need one if you dont know what it is - so dont bother posting.

For others who arent in the position to by them direct (doubt it will be that good) if its cheaper than the crooks out there charge for them he might be able to sell quite a few.

It's the PKD-1 schematic and hex files I found, I passed them to someone who is good with electronics and has chip burner who has build me one up. If it works he would like to make more.

We may be looking at £50-£60 price tag? I have seen them for sale at well over £100 mark, so I dont supose thats too bad.
But as I say, the more people ordering them, he can buy parts in bulk and the prices can come down.

When his ADSL line has been set-up, he will come online and give you more details about prices etc. He is a member of this forum and already runs an LED fitting service.

Hi

The first dongle will be finished by friday if all goes well. I have made the PCB, and have most of the board made up. Just making the chip programers now, as we speak the pcb is sitting in a bath of Ferric Chloride for the x25020 programmer.

I have yet to really think about a price, but it should be around £50-£60, or free to some one who can give me FLS-4 scheme by friday. :)

Unique is the guy who I spoke of is the chappy who will be builing them if they work

You can find the PKD-1 dongle schematics on many sites and we are testing to see if it works.

If it does, Unique will be building them and selling them for a fair price.

Many have tested (tho i have not so if it works then i'm wrong and sorry) and it's not worked :/

The hex and scheme do work, but it's some thing to do with the bit's on the inside of the dongle which by all accounts are hard to come by, but with a bit of magic you can get the thing to work, don't ask me how but it can be done as I have had a few PKD-1 (clones) which have come form the scheme.

Some tech guy was telling how to do it but like most tech things it went over my head.

Maybe if they become cheap I'll just buy one!

Same as maxim dongles - hex/scheme for these is now free but I can't build one so will wait for them to become cheap ;)

I only found the info out about the PKD-1 because I was being charged £250 for them, but after much looking and talking to people I found out how there were doing it and got a much cheaper price for them now, but hay if this guy can build and sell them for £55 count me in. (and it will be a 5 digit dongle when finished)

That price sounds pretty good since original dongles are not much cheaper and of course limited in there availability. Anxiously awaiting to hear the results on its functionality..

As far as having an official schematic NO... We could see about cracking one open and attempting to make one up.
However not sure the efforts would be worth since having a PKD covers Wintesla and Phoenix. The Fls-2 and 4 just provide a simple way to flash but limit you to 'dealer' mode which does not have all the functions enabled depending on the PKD.

Which was an original question we asked..which PKD is it your creating? (PKD-1, 1d, 1f, 1cs, 1ns)

We had a 1cs but when it took a dump our exchange was a 1d :(.

Look forward to hearing the good news and trying one out..

@phonedudes - The dongle is the same layout for all the PKD-1, 1d, 1f, 1cs, 1ns. Its only a software upgrade inside. (as far as I know).

These will be for sale starting November 1st. I'm thinking of only making 20.

Only if you have the rest of the stuff like FPS4 and the like, the PKD-1 is the service dongle that make Wintesla and Phoinex wrok with out the need for a crack.:)
