personalized message alert tones?

could anyone help me how to personalized my message alert tones? coz ive seen someone using his 8210 with peronalized message alert tone!!!!

use flashtone! open your ppmflash file then click open sms alert tones ten clik open tones. click on cange then save the file.
open this file in ppm manager then update crc, save then flash to your phone.

well m not. i've already been posted several flashfiles(modified) here. and writing to flash memory is not new to me.

well.. city bird is good for sms tone, only remove repeats so it play once.
try "Rock It" as sms tone, you can find that hex in general discussion thread "ringtone wishlist".
another good is that barcode brothers - sms :)

get out of that gray mass, use personal sms tones ;)

I have used both PPMedit and Flashtone on my 6250, but it only vibrates, it dosent come any sond when i revice a SMS..

Anyone who know why?

I remember seeing a post where someone described the max number of notes for standard and special sms alert tones but I can no longer find the post. does anyone know the limits?

limits? i used the whole rock it tone, just took repeat off and changed last bytes.

rock it is about 220 bytes.

u can use ppm edit by tnp to change some tone stuff, n it works well, just explore the soft.... be imaginative!

i got tha same problem (only vibrates)

i think the problem is is that im not using the rite format...

can ne1 explain exactly wot i do wit the tones.
at the moment im copying them into a hex editor, saving as .re (file is about 220 bytes) addin 2 fone flash file n thn flashin 2 my 6210. wen i try playin it from the menu it jus vibrates

ok...4get wot i sed befor...cos now i cant get flashtone 2 put the dam tone in....


im usin rockit.rtx, the repeat is none and the setting is natural.

wen i clk chng, it dusnt chng...if i try changing in normal ringtone mode it works, just not alert tone mode

anybody know the Hex code to make the SMS tone ringing just for one or twice, cause mine 8210 sms keep ringing after I changed the SMS tone...
