Hi,
My apologies if this is the wrong forum to post this...but I just got my N-Gage, and I can't seem to do anything with it except play games and use Bluetooth to receive transfers. It has an "offline" message on the screen w/c seems normal since no SIM card seems to work with it...so is there a way for me to fix this? :-?

It seems that you have the Offline profile on, which turns off all GSM transmitting so that you can play n-gage games on a plane for example
To change it back ... go to Profiles, and change to any of the following:
General, Meeting, Silent, Outdoor, Pager
The phone will restart, and you should be able to receive/send sms and make calls (the SIM cards should work)
The SIM cards most likely work, but the phone won't make an outgoing signal :D

Thanks! But I'm afraid its not that simple, I mean, I've tried changing sims and memory cards (but mostly game cards) and there are really no applications like Gallery or Connectivity or Radio or anything at all except games & bluetooth (and its not even on the menu)...like I dunno, I'm quite familiar with most Nokia fones but there's something wrong with this one...of course, I havent had any SD driven fones yet... :-?

Well..that depends how "cheap" is cheap....if it is a demo/prototype as you say...is there a way to fix it?? Hmmmm...isn't the bluetooth and games "software" also?? I know...i'm kinda hoping its not a demo....
And hey, it does recognize one of my SIMs (the Non-US one)...no signal though...but it displays the sim's inbox and menus....
....and why does it have a valid IMEI/SN on the Nokia repair site??? :???:
