6610 security code removal

can anyone help me remove the security code from a nokia 6610????? :mad:
this phone has had endless codes entered to try and unlock it :???: but to no avail. please dont give me technical lingo just plain english. :roll: thanx 4 the help... :-D

Try gammu http://www.mwiacek.com/zips/gsm/gammu/gammu_win32.zip (read txt files, and configure correctly, then use gammu --nokiasecuritycode) if this dont help try this one http://homepage.ntlworld.com/danluik/downloads/fbusv25.zip with a full factory reset (worked for me, but you will lose all your data on the phone like numbers etc)

theres a thread on here for the settings to read it over IRDA with GAMMU, if you cannot find it drop me a message and I'll send them to you. It does work !!

you need

1)Infra red adapter for a pc (plug in USB)
2)infra red on phone
3)Find and download software called Gammu (search on forum, I think there is a link somewhere). It comes with full instructions.
4)install on Gammu on your PC
5) find file called "gammurc" and open with windows notepad
6) change settings in the file to

port = com8:
model = 6610
connection = irdaphonet
synchronizetime = yes
logfile = gammulog.txt
logformat = textall
use_locking = yes
gammuloc = locfile
startinfo = yes
gammucoding = 1250

from whatever they were set to.

Run Gammu
