Hey guys. Just wondering if it was possible to take the actual keypad membrane from a 3660 and put it in a 3650? I know you can't just use a 3660 keypad but the actual bit underneath can be changed.

Also, has anyone actually tried this? I'm keeping an eye out on eBay for a 3660 keypad frame but so far there's only a 3650 one!!

Look here and you'll see what bit I want to replace

Andy.

PS, this is NOT my auction just so moderators are aware that I'm not trying to sell this item!!!

here in the Philippines, Hanukkah converts a 3650 to 3660 - hardware modification and by flashing it with a 3660 firmware, doesn't even have to change the LCD - only the casing and keypad are changed... cost around PhP 1,800.

Shame I'm in the UK though... I'm going to keep my eye open for the 3660's keypad chip-board so if anyone can help me locate one I'd be much grateful.

Just wondering how would the firmware let the screen work at 65k colours though? As the 3650 is only 4096 colours? but then again the screen is identical to my mates 6600 apart from the cables.
