Just want to ask other people who own 6230s if they are having problems setting an mp3 file as a rintone on their phone.

If the mp3 I want to set as a rintone is saved in the mmc, it won't play and just plays the default tune (which is the nokia tune) but if it's in the phone memory it does. Kinda weird though it's not a big deal, just transfer the mp3 I want as a rintone to the phone memory but I just want to know if everybody is experiencing it as well.

I'm using the TwinMos 128 MMC card. Tnx.

Yep get exactly that too

makes you think why can you set a wallpaper off the mmc card but not ring tones?

I don't have any problems, but I'm using the standard 32Mb card that came with the phone, maybe thats why it still works for me?

Yes, on the 32mb card it works fine. Don't know why it doesn't work on other mmcs.

The other thing I don't get is when you type any number, the wallpaper turns white (I know it's because so we can see the numbers right) but on a review I saw that the wallpaper is still there when you type a number. I saw it at planete-nokia.com but it's in french nevertheless there is a picture there.

My fone is version 4.28

Hi!

I'm using a 256MB MSM MMC card and I have no problem with it.

if you have a lot files in the folder with the mp3 will result in an mp3 play failure becouse initing, opening, reading an mmc isnt like reading a file from the phones memory its a lot slower. if there are 200 other files in your mmc it wont work of course:) i think thats also possible that the phone cant read the card as fast as it can read a nokia multimediacard or a mobymemory mmc.

I can use mp3s as ringtones...but if I put my phone on silent, the ringtones still play. Big glitch.
