Unlocking MMC Card on 6230

Ok i have a nokia 6230 and i've had the phone replaced but have keeped my original nokia multimedia card the problem is that it beleves that it is password protected!

I have tryed putting the card in another 6230 but to no success i have aslo put it into a card reader to see if i can read it and again i can't see it! it just hangs the card reader.

i have been reading your forum to see if anything on her will work but i can't seem to get the Fexplorer to work on my phone assume it not supported!

i would very much so like to retrieve the data on th card has any one been able to do a unlock MMC on a 6230 and if so how was it achieved!

I am not brilliant at doing this kind of stuff so if anyone can help a step by step guide to go with it would be really apperciated aswell

Isnt there a way to totally erase everything in the MMC just like erasing all data in nokia phones?

I dont want to lose any of the data! as there are file on the MMC card that i dont want to lose!

so dose any one have any clues!

An M505 Palm can do this for you, as far as i know it will need password for the mmc operations but it wont request it when you try to format the card, it will format it fully without a password. :cool:

no chance, even formatting needs a big luck to find something which can do it, and its chance are equal to zero to get its contains... guys at nokia service said its impossible to do anything with the card if you dont know the password. they dont told me this, but someone did, formatting it with that "buggy" palm but its not "official" those palms are formatting it by mistake, i think the authors forgotten to do the pass check before formatting.

1 i used a freinds 6600 to get this information off! i tried testing the password on the MMC card so i passworded it on my phone then but it in my freinds and went to c:\system and found the system.ini file copied it and bluetoothed it to my phone haveing remained it i then tried opening it to find out the password i couldn't see it! please can some one look at the file and tell me where it is!
