In which folder are the notes saved?

Hi there! I was wondering... in which folder are the notes saved? Are they in .txt format?

If they are (or if you can change its extension and become a readable txt) I'll be able to write my blogger posts during the day on my n-gage and then publish them at night... after moving the txt files to MMC and then to my PC via USB...

I've been poking around c: folders, and I can't find any relevant .txt

I hope they're not stored in mail folder, 'cause it's kinda unreadable...

Any ideas 'bout this?

its in c:\system\data but the extension is .dat, notepad.dat!

tahnkx! I just never thought that it would be a single file! :p

unfortunately, when converted to txt, strange squares appear every paragraph...

i'll now try message saver to do it. nevertheless, this .dat file may always come handy if message saver does not work as I want !

nope, messagesaver didn't work at all... it justs saves messages into notes... precisely what I don't want, cause all the notes get mixed in one non-txt file :(

Uhh ... I made a note called "Sharemarket Game" in Extras -> Notes, then sent it via Bluetooth to my computer. It ended up in "Bluetooth Exchange Folder" ...

And wow ... there it is, "Sharemarket Game.txt"

What are you guys trying to do? :roll:

@ MegaShark, is it because you don't have a BT Dongle, but a MMC Card Reader/Writer? :???:

the thing is.. I don't have a bluetooth dongle, and I was trying to send those note files via n-gage's USB port to my PC...

but I found a workaround... I just copy notepad.dat to e: , save it to my PC, and poke around the file... somewhere in that file will be the text I wrote, provided I didn't enter any returns in it... If I do, strange squares will appear among it!

The text will be mixed up with the other notes, but that isn't such a big prob after all... that's why Windows notepad has a find option! ;)

Since I don't have a Bluetooth I just MMS the note to my email address. Ofcourse it is more expensive.

BTW how can you sync your notes to outlook?

try opening the .dat file with microsoft word. the squares should not appear in word. that is what i usually do when i encounter strange symbols while viewing with notepad.
