Hello
I use Rolis DTC3 Flasher. I do an backup image (original) of the phone's firmware. Rolis say that this firmware have any problem and ask me if he must save or not. I save.
I flash the 3310 with the 5.57 (3310) and the flash failed. And now the phone don t boot and Rolix can' t flash him. :-(
message:

I've seen this problem a few times before...
First of all what cable are using ??? is it home build...
Well anyway check all cable connections, the problem could be a faulty cable...
If that dosn't work try cleaning the connection "PADS" in your phone... also clean the battery connector, if one of the 2 sensor pads in the middle dosn't have a grip the error will ocur...
Write me back if these simple procedures dosn't do the trick

I already have the same issue...
for fix it:
- I close Rolis Flasher....
- I deconnect the cable on my phone...
- I reconnect the cable...
- I launch Rolis Flasher...
- I flash new flash file...
verify your cable is connect to your phone and PC as well as possible....
good luck... :)

NokiaPhreak=> yes I will try an other battery when I would find this.
kOuBy2k1=> very strange. The "firmware" (i don' t know the good word in english) was cheksum bad. And I have never change this firmware and the phone is new.
What is the voltages of the battery ?

the voltage of the battery should between 4V until 6 Volt in order to power up the IC inside the flasher. but it's depent on your circuit. Sometimes the circuit use voltage regulator, in this case the power supply can put on 9 volt.
My suggest is try to replace the battery with the same size and model :D

Hmm...
I've had a problem with a 3310 not turning on after Firmware Update myself.
A friend of mine gave me his phone to unlock, he said it was a 3310 v4.50, so I told him I'd do it. Once I get home, I decide to update it to a 5.57 and add the 3315 features, so I tried, but didn't work, after about 3 tries with 3 different flash files I decided to check under the battery and to my surprise 3330 was inscribed on the label... hehehe, no wonder a 3310 flash wouldn't turn it on :P
I was thinking you could be going through the same thing, but I guess Rolis knows if it's a 3310 or 3330... and since you can't write your backup flash either... ahh well, just thought I'd share my experience ;)
Cheers,
-Dave

Thanks you Shidoshi.
On the label, under the battery it' s write: Model:3310 Type:NHM-5NX.
I see my phone in 4 hours.
Thanks all for your help.
For the last luck, when there is not hope.
There isn' t a software who flash but without all check ?:)

hiya,
had the same problem, but with me it was the software...
exactly the same problem when using Rolis 4.78b, but when using Rolis 4.77 everything is fine, and I have flashed many times with that prog now!
So, my advice is: just try using a different version of Rolis! 4.77 works best for me!

I have enough. I really not understand the problem.
I have flash 0x200000 to 0x20F000 successful but flash image bigger than this, there is the porblem.
If the phones a 3330 flash it twice, once at 200000 and then at 400000 and it works fine.
Try restarting everything, reconnect phone run rollis and hope for the best, This always helps me. Good luck

Get another flash file... I thought the 3310 was from 0x200000 to 0x400000...
Try http://nokia.sno.at/ for the flash file you are looking for.
We're here to help each other, so don't give up because we won't ;)

@Clockover
Perhaps its the problem with your flasher cable. Try borrowing it from someone and try it.
Its like you had tried all means to save your phone so I guess it might be the problem of your cable.

Hmm...
Or if you do not have another cable, try using it on another computer, or if you can't do that, try changing the com port, try 1, 2, etc... or try changing the ports themselves (e.g: putting new ones in. I usually have a couple spares around so this usually isn't a problem for me)
I would try a different OS also. If neither of these methods have given a positive result... after that I would most probably be convinced that this is a hardware problem on the phone :)

Clockover, I often get the same when I flash with Rolis with me it is due to the port voltage stability "I think" as I am using a laptop.
I don't know what PC you are using but could be the same problem, I keep trying until it works. Don't give up you will win in the end! Good luck.
