Is Nokia Slow Upgrading With Each New Symbian Phone

There aren't much improvements between each Symbian phone, but there's always something that attracts some 'attention'

eg 7610 over 6600 because of megapixel

Maybe tats cuz they've hit a restriction in phone software performance over hardware capabilities?? Cellphones did improve much in the past couple of years, so maybe nokia had hit a developmenal block or something... besides, symbian, being so programmable, can adapt to so many programmes..., so why not let others do it for them??

They aren't slow. It's just like when you're in business you have to think hard to make choices. Nokia makes 30 designs every week, but only some gets approved in a month after lot of researchs and stuff. If Nokia started making Symbian phones at a faster speed, there won't be any time left when people will get bugged of their huge and same collection and will try getting off this brand.

Its a business strategy inorder for consumers to continue buying
nokia products and upgrade to newer units according to once
suitability. Each fon is only a little bit different from the other,
just for the sake of having a new model and a new investment
for us consumers. Some features are improved while some features
are totally removed.
7610 has no Infrared
3660,7650 6600 etc cannot send business card
cannot edit then save received txt message
No FM Radio Tuner
and many others.

Its their true nature. sorry for us.

But still i own a 6600. No choice. Its the easiest to resell and repair.

I just hope that they do design an all-in-one fon, complete in features
down below even for once. Just for the consumers to be overwhelmed.

As far as the N-gage goes. I would have 2 say that Nokia did something very strange or stupid. The N-gage QD is an upgrade from the old N-gage, but @ the sometime it's a downgrade 2. The N-gage has more features, the QD doesn't. The QD has hot swap & brighter lighting, the N-gage doesn't. :-? Hey Nokia if ur gonna upgrade the N-gage QD 2 something else in the future. Leave in what it has & just add more features, don't take away anything.

I don't like the way Nokia remove features when they upgrade (this doesn't always ahppen), it's fine if the feature was complained about or wasn't popular, but if it was commonly used (e.g. Infra-Red IrDA), keep it.
Personally, I'd rather wait longer for an upgrade and find the unit has everything I want, than swap phones every half a year because this ones got this feature that I need, but now I need that one with that... I want an all in one phone... Or a phone that's got all the common, popular features!
