thanks for your advice there ,although i can flash phones i dont fully understand what you just said .
when i flash a phone say im going to flash your great flash into a phone i would say use knock 95 load the file from where i saved it knock then automatickly puts in start and end address i click ok , so are u saying i just do that twice?
i dont think thats what u saying, now i know you flash mcu and ppm which my file (sorry your file !!) includes both of them ,so are you saying they need to be flashed sepratly i sorry if im confusing you as im confusing myself. :???:

Do you have a 3310 LCD ?

If so...

I Use Rolis to flash its a little quicker and easier (I think).

The 3310 flash file contains MCU & PPM. (File size: 1,856KB)

Flash this to 0x200000. It will end @ 0x3D0000
Flash again, this time to 0x400000. It will end 0x5D00000

Now flash a 3310 Eeprom first to

0x3D00000. It should end @ 0x400000
Flash eeprom again to 0x5D00000. it should end 0x600000

Make sure you have a complete back up of your 3410 before you flash you phone.

all went well on that ,1 more qustion, i have a 3390 here from canada NPB-1NB would your flash work in that without any modification in other words can i flash it with your flash or for that matter any otherNHM-5NX 3310 flash.

It will not work. The 3390 work differently to the 3310.

Most of the features would work but you would need to apply them to to 3390 flash.

As i dont have a 3390 phone to try sorry but i cant help.

You will need to change you 3410 lcd to a 3310 lcd. The 3410 is 96x65 and a 3310 is 84x48. After you have done that flash your phone with a 3310 flash twice.
1st @ 0x200000
2nd @ 0x400000

You will also need to flash the 3310 eeprom to your phone twice.
1st @ 0x3D0000
2nd @ 0x5D0000

thats it.

I am using a 3410 now as a 3310.

i try to upgrade 3330 to 3410 with lcd change & firmware upgrade and it isn't works could you tell me why?

and i watch your new flash and i noticed, you don't have stones at 3330.
here is the locate.rx whith that it works you need to change some patt.

I dont know why it never worked. So far all 3330 to 3410 upgrades and 3410 to 3330/3310 downgrades have work work for me.

What is different in this locate file ?

so in this file there is a little modification compare with old one and it will works

could you give a working 3410 flash to 3330 with eeprom?

I used the new locate.rx script and the game worked but if I play stones I cant exit pressing 'c'. This also happen's with the memory_editor script aswell.

When i started to change my 3410 to a 3310 i was told to leave the 0x3D0000 aswell but I used to get contact service quite often so now I flash the eeprom there it seem to solve this.

As you said "its unused" but if so why did it solve the CONTACT SERVICE problem ?. anyway no harm done. :roll:

just to say, there are old and new 3330's.
old one can't be upgraded afaik, new one can.
old board don't have extra keys and new one has..

i have only old 3330 and downgraded to 3310 because it can't be upgraded to 3410.

i flashed from 0x200000 to 0x210000, then 0x400000 to 0x600000 and it worked! it doesn't matter what "garbage" you have in 0x210000 - 0x400000.
there was no contact service! i used my own eeprom.
i think what it only needs in the beginning, is the boot sequence.

My eeprom might have been the problem. (it is an original one).

As to putting nothing in the 0x210000 to 0x400000. MadOS might not run (if you use it) and it would be a waste of space.

Do you get a standby screen / signal?
try to kill faid? 3410 are hard to update faid.

It's old thread but..

I'm trying to downgrade my 3410 to 3310
I changed the LCD. Flashed phone like mr dvirus666 said.
But I can't change the imei or reset the sp locks (phone works but all sp locks are closed). When I flash it back to 3410 everything works and I can change the imei and open/close sp locks.

Does someone knows the solution to this problem?
Or maybe mr dvirus666 can upload 3310 fubu for 3410 somewhere?

I have the same problem with one of my 3410. It is a new model and it will not allow me to downgrade to any 33xx model. I have tried a complete FUBU from other phone that has never been modified but will not work.

I have had this problem for a while now and still not any further foward. Look like there must be some other "CHECK" done by the phone or I am becoming stupid :D

The older 3410 downgrades / upgrades without any problems at all. :???:

What I mean by new model is about two years old now.
