Movie to ngage?

Whats' the best option nowadays for quality of video and sound to put a film on an ngage?

And how big a card will i need for an average film of about 1 and half hours.

Want to convert from either DiVx or XviD (or from a dvd) to the ngage.

Can i fit at least one film on a 128mb card?

What's the best program on how to do this?

I convert I robot 725MB to 98MB Video was cool :)
Sound can be better but is wery good.!

I use smartmovie 1.0 (full)
It's me setting:

i have some converted episodes of a-team that is about 24 mb big, it's runtime are about 45 minutes. And it runs very smoothly, without any pixelation...

Can anyone suggest some good dvd ripping software? I've been using dvdx but on some of my dvds it will only recognize the first chapter and i've got one that I really wanna rip.

Mine doesn't work, it's encoded it ok, and it plays in WMP, yet when i open it on the phone i get the very descriptive 'error: cannot open file: freddy.avi'

Does this mean something's gone wrong? Do the video files need to be put in a special folder?

Maybe youve got conflicting codecs, download the newest ones from www.lonelycatgames.com

why use so much in bitrate, i use 50 in movies that are slow, like csi or something, 60 in episodes of a-team with much action...

Why NOT use so much bitrate?

I've noticed a slight difference in quality between 80 and 96kbps so i'm imagining 50 or 60 would look pitiful next to one of my movies. The only possible reason i can think of for using such a low bitrate is to save Mb's and that doesn't really bother me, plenty of space :)

in ffdshow options, turn on spp deblocking, and soft threshold, it takes a shitload of time to encode a movie, but the result lookes so smooth you cant believe you eyes.
I'll take some screenshots of some encoded material and uppload to a server to show you...

Used 128kbps, 44khz/48kbps mp3 and it's not bad.

Found my mmc was the problem, had to arse around to get it working again (formatting, reformatting, deleting partitions etc) but it plays ok now.

You are using a different codec from me, your one sounds interesting though, might give it a try.

ok, there was some problem getting a screenshot. so i made a clip instead get it here:

They work fine with movie dvds but some of the dvds I have are lots of short clips or programmes (e.g. Happy Tree Friends DVD) and dvdx and the other prog you suggested will only rip the first one or two chapters from them.

or try dvd decrypter and rip main vob files and then encode with dr divx

or try dvd decrypter and rip main vob files and then encode with dr divx

It gives the option to rip them but when i click start it gives an error ("filename.vob cannot be read" or something).

u need to get the code from ur phone smart movie, then input to ur pc smart movie converter to unlock it.

Try super dvd ripper it is really good

This software managed to rip the whole dvd but not in seperate chapters, only in big chunks (about 20mins each). If I don't find anything else I suppose this will do as I could split them up when I'm converting with smartmovie but surely there's a program out there that does this.
