Mission Impossible? Orange to O2 on 6600

I have unlocked my 6600 previously with orange and the handset now accepts my O2 sim card, the only problem is that it keeps asking me to choose orange, orange gprs etc I have access to O2mms gprs etc but if I choose O2 with my O2 sim card in it just appears again a few seconds later asking me to choose again.

Is Orange just totally playing with my mind or is there a solution to this problem??
