hi guys, got a 6260 here, love the phone but dissapointed that it is rs mmc (otherwise i would have used my 1gb mmc lol).
anyway, anyone know any mods to make the full size mmc fit in the 6260?
either slicing down battery or slicing down mmc? (lol i know some people will think i am off my head!)

Why did Nokia switch to rs-MMC? I'm sure a normal MMC would have worked with the 6260. But it seems like a great phone. :-)

Why are people so upset just because of the RS-MMC? Isn't it logical to use a smaller memory card?
What I'm disappointed at, is the 6260's size and the fact that 6260 isn't a megapixel camera phone.
Otherwise, it could have been been my perfect phone (Nokia, Flip, Symbian, Stereo MP3, Radio and Camera capabilities)

Well, we can't have the best of everything. The mp3 and radio alone is gonna be quite a draw for me, never mind the size :) Besides, RS-MMC is very cool, small, yet large capacity, and hot swap (i think!) Too bad i just got the 6600, should have waited for 6260 (no complaints though, my life now virtually revolves around the 6600!!)

stereo and mono is not a good topic to discuss lol (by reading through lots of previous hreads on the 6600 lol), it gives u stereo headphones with the phone so I THINK (don't flame me as I only THINK lol) that it is stereo.
man pity the largest rs-mmc out is 512
was really enjoying my 1gb mmc in my 6600 aswell lol
I'm away to try and do a conversion on the 1gb mmc/phone/battery NOW to TRY and make it fit
will let u guys know the outcome tomorrow

To mp3 are NOT stereo im 100% sure ,since i have had the phone since tuesday thats 6 days ive found good and bad points, now the radio is great ,to write a sms forget it---> the phone needs to be used with 2 hands i went from 6600 to 6260 and believe me its a pain in the ass you will never get used to it i though i would but i couldnt write the sms messages in the 6600 speed that i used to and the camera is worse than the 6600 trust me so i leaped to the 7610 now i traded my 6260 for a 7610,its a pity the phone is way to big with the flip open(i felt like maxwell smart who used to use his shoe as a phone)all the camera 3 party apps dont work on the 6260 also no fs caller app works i tried it the only camera app that works well is the phillips camcoder one apart from that the phone is real nice looking

The mp3 and radio ARE stereo. No sense for nokia to put them there if not for it. If 6260 is non-stereo, i wouldn't be installed in, like the 6600 or 7610. Camerawise, unless u are a real hardcore photographer, which u should not, cuz hp cam is still way lousier than a pure digicam, it should work enough. Get photorite then.

Radio is stereo, mp3 is mono. I have read that in several places.
Here it says: "The handsfree headset is stereo and provides rather good sound of the radio. But at the same time mp3 player sound is mono, this is a hardware limitation of the platform."

In nokia 6260 FM is stereo and MP3 is mono. I have purchased this set yesterday and i was dissappointed with this. Overall I liked this phone.
