question about an mmc card

ok i have purchased route 66 and it come on a rs mmc and it is 256mb
if i go to extras then memory on my nokia 7610 it states
i have
capacity 245mb
used 158 mb
free 87mb

the used is taken up by route 66 software (original)
can i install other apps onto the mmc card without runining route 66 ?
also
how can i make a back up copy of the route 66 incase the card gets corupt ?

I would imagine that the mmc can be backed up using pc suite. The pc suite for nokia 6600 was good for this and may work fro 7610. If not, i think the standard pc suite that came with ur fone should work fine.

Also, it should be fine to use the extra space on ur mmc.
