i cant call numbers that starts with (*) like *5148.it says phone number not valid.

i tried all the settings in my phone but still no cure.

my brother has a 3530 but his phone can call phone numbers that starts with *

actually, we have star codes for our network service provider specifically globe. they have these codes to access news, entertainment, etc. but i cant use it because when i dial their access number my phone will say phone number not valid...why is it?
