:-( Hi can anybody help i have a E700 i want to change IMEI when i use s500 service tools v2 by MYKY and E700 usb cable it times out on TAT and on imei change it goes to 20% and times out (the cable works on charging and swoping data ect) :-?

P.S it now reads 12 Section Not Exist when i click imei set

as far as I'm aware myky will only work on a externally powered COM/serial port cable.

hint: when using s500 tools, click tat button first and then plug cable into phone!

if tat only goes to 33% ignore it just wait for time out.

as long as phone says tat mode on the screen u are in, just click imei button and it will work.

i have not tried with usb cable, but works great with powered serial cable.

i went to the link, there is a link for the 1.1.1 version in spanish or something and there is a translation link near the bottom of the page for english which has a link for c-100 unlocker which is in english, will this unlock and change the imei of the phone or does the other ?

will the software reset the phone password to 0000, unlock the phone and change the IMEI number ?

hope someone could help me out, which i spoke spanish !

the probem is the cable, i use same program.. but mine works 100% but i use data cable!

If you use comport S500 cable it will work 100% Can be very dodgy with USB. :P

Hi, I've searched for a e700/s500 serial cable on ebay, came across a fairly cheap one (not externally powered), but it doesn't come with a driver. Will I need a driver to install the cable? or will my PC (win me) recognise it?

no driver needed just plug datacable into Com1 and open software , click TAT , wait for timeout , enter desired IMEI , click IMEI .. job done
