Got a USB IR-DA, InfraRed device off a mate till my bluetooth dongle adapter arrives. But it didn't come with a driver, and Windows XP Professional doesn't know any. Anyone know where I can obtain a 'freeware' one?

try www.driverguide.com (login/password = drivers/all). you'll need to know who made it and what model it is though

Cheers for that, seems like a decent site. i was hoping that there was just one universal driver, I won't be able to find the driver for this one I reckon as it doesn't say the model or manufacturer on it!
I'll have to send a message to the bloke and see if he can find the driver.
Is there a way that if he's installed the driver onto his compute, and then lost the disc, we can copy the driver from his computer? If so, how would we do that?

took a guess that he bought it off ebay.com.au, so i went on there, and eventually found a seller selling them, the exact ones, looked at the box in the picture, got the model and what not details, went to that site and got the driver, all working now, ta.

That's what I thought too, but my Microsoft Windows XP Professional didn't have any! I search Microsoft Windows Update for some aswell, and still none. O well, I got it going now! Thanks all.
