gx10i calls disconnected

Hello,

Wonder if anyone can help.

I recently bought a sharp gx10i 2nd hand. When i try to make a call, it says call disconnected straight away.

i have bought unlock software and the phone is unlocked for all networks but still wont allow a call out.

Any ideas what this could be?

check with the network it might be barred. could be a lost or srolen phone.

the network will not unbarr it for you.
If you are in uk try to send a text using a vodafone sim and see if it works.If it does and then when you call you hear 3 beeps then its barred.

Exactly as jensen says! Also some operators will allow you to check the IMEI of the phone to see its status, although they will not un-barr a phone just because you "own" it, passwords will have to be given or in some cases the address and postcode.
