3310: Contact Service

I just found this interesting website and forum.

I have a 3310 not working. When I try to power it on, after a bit it displays CONTACT SERVICE. Same happens if I connect it to the battery charger.
I read the documents in the FAQ suggesting to make first an EEPROM test.

Where can I find the required software?

For this you will need Eeprom Tools by Bphreaks
And an M/bus datacable

You simply plug in the cable run the software and it will tell you which checksums are causing the contact service

It will also point out some hardware faults
