Hey, Jus wondering how to change the display name on my Phone, Has my name on it right now, But i want to change it. Do i have to have them do it? do i have to unlock it? please help

Just go into Nam programming with the *3001....etc

Go into your nam 1 and change the 'Alpha Tag'

Be sure NOT to change any other data

See, the thing is i dont have a data cable, all i have is the phone, Could you tell me where to get a cable fairly cheap in the usa?

You dont need a data cable to change that...

Just enter the nam programming sequence from the phones keypad

So your phone has your name and you want to change it..then you say...

ok, Its my name i want to change, But i cant find an Place to do it my menu contains System and settings i go to system an have auromatic, home area, and analog, under settings i have call settings, phone setting, security settings, network settings. and within thos menus theres no place to change my name, im over it i think, Inless you know the way to get there. Thanks for your help

Goto NAM 1, Alpha Tag


DO NOT change anything else..
