Hi,

got hold of the smartmovie app for my phone and my pc.

I've registered it and everything so everything is unlocked.

However when I put a dvd in, it is hard to covert :???:

I can get say a scene up, but when i export it there is no audio.

Does anybody know what I am doing wrong?

What codec should I be using?

Any help appreciated

Hi,

Tricky subject this one, personally I've never gone straight from a DVD to the LCG converter so cannot comment on it that way around.

What I do is to use DVD Decryptor, go here : http://www.doom9.org/ then to Downloads and under "Descrambling / Ripping tools" you will see the program. This basically rips all the DVD files from the disk onto your PC.
From here you can open the MPEG files in the LCG Converter, or better still use Virtual Dub and encode the section of movie that you want.

Go here for more info on using Virtual Dub : http://nokiafree.org/forums/t62688/h/s.html

Hi,

Don't forget you need the Lame Audio codec also to make encodes.

Search for Lame on the net and you shall find it, V1.96 is the latest to my knowledge.

well it turns out its already using LAME MP3 codec for files.

I think the software just cant support coverting DVDs :-?

Can anyone point me in the direction of some easy to use software that will allow me to convert my dvds so they can be played on my 6600?

Preferably one of IRC :-D

Basically when I imported the VOB file, it just said on the left no sound.

Which is rubbish because the dvd had sound.

So im confused really as to what to do.
