Hi Guys,

I've got a 6210, which has no signal when switched on. The strange thing is it works fine when plugged into the Cark-91 car kit.

I've flashed the phone with version 5.56 PPM C using Knok and updated the FAID using Nokia Tool v 1.8.

I've then run Eeprom v 3.1 in test mode. No errors.

Reading other posts in the forum, I came across a thread where a rubber bung is placed over the HAGAR and the phone re-assembled. If the phone now works it implies the HAGAR needs to be re-flowed.

Being new to all this, I'm being extra cautious and seeking wisdom from more experience folk!

Is this the right approach to take next? ... or have I missed something?

Thanks in advance.

U said phone work good when is attachet to the car kit...that makes me think U have problem with Ur external antenna conector...check it..when U measure it it mest be 0 ohms when U attach the sonds ....If its ok..U are at the right point with HAGAR...
Regards!

Hi,

Apologies for the delayed response, I've been suffering with a cold!

I've opened up the phone and I'm a bit unsure how to go about checking if the external connector is the problem. I can see the two contacts of the external connector, which are soldered onto the PCB along with the antenna spring clips.

Also where is the HAGAR on the pcb .... what's the best way to check if there is broken solder ... if it's not obvious?

Thanks again for your help.

From what I can see the phone hardware maybee fine

What I would do is clean up the PCB and the antenna with mine and chunkheads water damage cleaning technique (can be found in FAQ)
This will clean off any debree from the contacts of the phone and the antenna and hopefully solve your problem

regards,
Danny

Hi

I've cleaned the pcb using the water damage cleaning technique.

No change .. still no signal.
